About Us
Philotimo is a Greek concept that speaks to compassion, integrity, generosity and a deep sense of care for others. For Pip, it also means extending that same kindness towards ourselves, learning to welcome the parts of us we find difficult to understand or accept. It's the philosophy at the heart of her practice: creating a place where people feel welcomed as they are, without judgement, and can begin to feel more at home in themselves.
Pip offers a relational approach to therapy, where children, teenagers and adults can explore life's challenges without fear of judgement.
Her lived experiences inform the empathy and warmth she brings to her work, from raising her own neurodivergent child and teaching neurodivergent learners to navigating aging parents, the empty nest, as well as unexpected loss and grief.
Alongside psychotherapy, Pip offers therapeutic learning support with more than 10 years’ experience supporting children, teens and young people, including neurodivergent, gifted and twice-exceptional learners, and those experiencing school avoidance or anxiety. Her aim is to help young people feel safe, understood and capable, so they can reconnect with their curiosity and confidence.
Pip also works with women navigating the changing seasons of life. When children need them differently, parents begin to age and relationships change, many women find themselves asking, Who am I now? Pip offers a compassionate space to explore these transitions.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Pip spent more than two decades as a writer and communications professional. As an author and storyteller, she loves using metaphor and narrative to help clients explore their inner world and discover new ways of understanding themselves.
Pip is a registered member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia). She has completed training in Internal Family Systems, Childhood Grief and Loss, and Play Therapy.
